MISSION:

Our mission is to uniquely provide the highest calibre of planning, design and consultation skills to users to elevate the health and stature of their lives on professional, personal, spiritual and artistic levels. The achievement of this mission requires people with the highest technical, creative, management and ethical skills and standards with an uncompromising infrastructure, facility, technology and commitment to learning. With discipline and commitment in the application of our skills, we add great value to the activities of our clients.

OUTCOMES:

Unless a consultant produces something concrete that translates into increased productivity, health or bottom-line performance, their engagement is a luxury. Our expertise translates directly into increased results. Because Oliver Design Group has and does deliver services which lead directly to productivity enhancement, our services are not a luxury, they are a value-added benefit.

The environment is a critical success factor! In the work force, people are not disposable machine parts any more. In the health care field, patients are not just treatment scenarios any more-they are people - customers in a family unit. At work, with declining skill levels and numbers entering the work force, skilled people are invaluable resources now. Organizations that discovered "Product Quality" and "Total Quality Management" and "Customer Service" in the 1980's, and "flatter, leaner, right-sized" organizations in the 1990's are coming to understand that facility design eased the next major area of corporate awareness. Good design is not a luxury - it is a necessity, because if the facility is in the way of the business plan, the constituents, performance and results fail to attain optimum outcomes.

Oliver Design Group has executed many projects with definitive outcomes that conclusively establish that through increased production with identical or even fewer resources, productivity and net earnings can be increased through cost-effective facility planning and design. And the organization can retain its nimbleness, express its culture, reduce operating costs, improve morale, recruitment and retention, decrease absenteeism, re-work and customer service obligations.

BACKGROUND:

Our 30-year history includes long-range facilities planning, location analyses, architectural and interior design for more than 30 million square feet of space for leading corporate, not-for-profit and hospitality users. The majority of our assignments are repeat and referral, which is indicative of our commitment to each client relationship. Ranked among the top firms in the U.S. in numerous Industry Giant Surveys, Oliver Design Group currently practices Architecture in Ohio and other states and works on projects nationwide. Projects designed by the firm have been recognized with Awards of Excellence in Design at local, regional, state and national levels. Oliver Design Group has earned a reputation as sophisticated planners and designers.

APPROACH:

Principals Bill Eberhard, Lynn Bayer and John Tellaisha are involved as team leaders on every project. Oliver Design Group utilizes an analytical approach to projects by focusing on the quantitative and qualitative needs of each client. A multi-disciplinary team of in-house registered Architects and Interior Designers work together to provide the needed creative, technical and management skills to develop design responses targeted at the client's functional, image, time and cost parameters.

We believe in establishing a dialogue with clients concerning client image objectives and expectations so that our creative and technical skills may be focused accordingly. True creative alternatives must be result-oriented, enhance productivity, increase sales or otherwise contribute to adding value to the desired activities. Only when tasks and the factors influencing them are clearly understood can creative initiative be successfully focused on problem-solving. In this way, the crafting of the environment is never arbitrary, thus assuring a multi-disciplinary integration of shape, enclosure, light, comfort, acoustics, color, finish and furnishings.

SPECIALISTS:

We are dedicated to and focused on design quality. Our research and development time is spent understanding the issues affecting the experience of space at a macro and micro level. An orientation on the spacial experience of each individual enables us to understand the alternatives which will enhance environmental efficacy.

COMMITMENT:

Each staff member is a full-time employee of Oliver Design Group with a company centered-motivation. We are dedicated to understanding the perceptions, values and expectations of each client and communicating them successfully in the development of our working relationship. We have an employee-designed compensation system which is incentive-oriented to reward initiative, achievement and commitment to create functional, exciting environments, on-time, on-budget to high quality standards, to our client's satisfaction. The results are exemplary service. "People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care."

LEADERSHIP:

We have found the answer to leadership. We empower people by focusing on objectives, process, outcomes and measures. We set examples of communication clarity, information accuracy to support informed decision-making. We set examples of cognitive thought, vision, the evaluation of alternative responses and community service. We focus on client service by thinking of the client's experience with us. We focus on learning as a continuous process, not a singular or isolated training task.

STATURE:

We are recognized by competitors and clients as the best firm in our region. Oliver Design Group was a founding member of the Design Forum of Cleveland, the Cleveland Design Task Force, and was an initiator of the Cleveland Interior Design Awards program and is the media-recognized source for voice on matters pertaining to real estate and design. Our senior people are on numerous national product design councils and advisory boards, serve at state and regional professional organizations at leadership levels and teach at college and post-graduate levels. In addition, since 1990, we have received more local, state and national design awards from such prominent professional organizations as the American Institute of Architects, the International Interior Designers Association and the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties than any firm in the State of Ohio.
